Your Journey Day by Day

10 Days / 9 Nights

Weligama → Udawalawe → Ella → Knuckles / Kandy → Galgamuwa → Colombo

Day 01

Arrival → South Coast

Transfer directly from the airport to a beachfront resort in Weligama on Sri Lanka’s south coast. The journey sets an immediate and beautifully relaxed tone. As evening approaches, an optional sunset yoga session on the beach or quiet relaxation by the ocean marks a perfect, unhurried beginning.

Day 02

Coastal Wellness & Ocean Activities

Begin the day with a guided morning yoga and breathwork session on the beach. The afternoon brings an optional surfing or paddleboarding session in Weligama’s gentle surf, followed by a personalised Ayurvedic spa treatment and a tranquil evening at leisure.

Day 03

Coastal Adventure & Local Life

A morning of gentle coastal exploration – choose between cycling along the shoreline or kayaking through Weligama’s lagoon. Later, a visit to a local fishing village offers a genuine glimpse into coastal Sri Lankan life, culminating in an evening Sri Lankan cooking experience with a local family.

Day 04

South Coast → Udawalawe

Drive inland through increasingly wild and open landscape. An afternoon jeep safari in Udawalawe National Park delivers the journey’s wildlife centrepiece – wild elephants in extraordinary numbers, alongside birdlife and open savannah that feels quintessentially untamed. Overnight at Udawalawe Safari Resort.

Day 05

Udawalawe → Ella

Visit the Elephant Transit Home – an ethical sanctuary caring for orphaned elephant calves – before the scenic highland drive to Ella. Arrive in time for an afternoon tea estate walk and tasting, settling into 98 Acres Resort & Spa as the valley light fades to gold.

Day 06

Ella Adventure & Mindfulness

A morning hike to Little Adam’s Peak rewards with sweeping valley panoramas, followed by a visit to the iconic Nine Arches Bridge. An optional zip-line adds a moment of exhilaration before the afternoon settles into guided yoga or silent meditation – a perfect balance of activity and stillness.

Day 07

Ella → Knuckles / Kandy Region

Drive into the extraordinary Knuckles Mountain Range, stopping for an afternoon forest walk or light trek through its mist-covered trails. The evening brings a wellness therapy or spa session at your nature resort in the Kandy region.

Day 08

Deep Wellness & Nature

A full day of restorative wellness – morning yoga, breathwork, and an optional guided hike or waterfall visit. The afternoon is dedicated to Ayurvedic treatments and complete relaxation, allowing the body and mind to settle fully into the island’s natural rhythm.

Day 09

Knuckles → Galgamuwa (Rural Wellness Escape)

Drive to the quiet, off-the-grid rural setting of Galgamuwa – a place where village walks, herbal plant exploration, and optional river bathing create an experience of rare simplicity and peace. The evening is devoted to digital detox, nature-based mindfulness, and overnight at a curated eco-lodge or boutique rural stay.

Day 10

Return to Colombo / Departure

A morning drive back to Colombo, with an optional short city stop, before transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for departure.
