Kandy → Sigiriya → Knuckles → Nuwara Eliya → Haputale → Yala → Galle → Colombo

Day 01

Arrival and Drive to Kandy

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and transfer to Kandy through increasingly lush countryside. A heritage stroll around Kandy Lake reveals the city’s colonial character and lakeside beauty. Dinner featuring traditional Kandyan cuisine follows at your boutique hotel.

Day 02

Kandy Heritage Immersion

Morning at the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, before exploring Kandy’s colonial-era streets, museums, and markets. The afternoon brings a guided storytelling session in local villages, weaving together the traditions and folklore of the Kandyan kingdom. An optional evening cultural performance closes the day.

Day 03

Kandy to Sigiriya via Dambulla

Drive north toward the Cultural Triangle, stopping at Dambulla Cave Temple for a guided visit through its remarkable sacred interiors. On arrival in Sigiriya, an evening village walk through paddy fields and irrigation canals ends with a local culinary experience at your eco-lodge.

Day 04

Sigiriya Rock Fortress

An early morning ascent of Sigiriya Rock Fortress before the heat and crowds gather. Your specialist guide transforms the climb into a vivid journey through ancient history. The afternoon is at leisure, with options for a guided walk through surrounding villages or relaxation at the eco-lodge.

Day 05

Sigiriya to Knuckles Mountains

A scenic drive into the Knuckles Mountain Range, followed by an afternoon guided trek through misty peaks, hidden waterfalls, and ancient forest trails. Overnight at an eco-lodge set deep within the forest, with curated eco-dining.

Day 06

Knuckles to Nuwara Eliya

Drive through the highlands to Nuwara Eliya, passing through some of Sri Lanka’s most spectacular tea country scenery. A planter-led tea estate tour with tasting is followed by a colonial-style afternoon tea. An evening stroll around Gregory Lake rounds out the day.

Day 07

Nuwara Eliya to Horton Plains & Haputale

An early start brings you to Horton Plains National Park for a dawn trek to World’s End – a sheer escarpment with breathtaking views. Continue to Haputale for an optional forest walk or village exploration, settling into a nature retreat for the night.

Day 08

Haputale to Yala National Park

Drive south through the dry zone to Yala, arriving in time for an afternoon jeep safari to spot leopards, elephants, and endemic wildlife in their natural habitat. Dinner under the stars at your luxury eco-lodge.

Day 09

Full-Day Yala Safari & Leisure

An early morning safari optimises wildlife and photography opportunities before the heat of the day. The afternoon is at leisure – guided nature walks around the lodge, an optional village visit, or quiet time in your eco-lodge.

Day 10

Yala to Southern Coast (Galle)

Drive to Galle through scenic coastal viewpoints. An evening guided walk through the Galle Fort’s cobblestone streets, Dutch ramparts, and artisan boutiques reveals one of Asia’s finest colonial cities. Overnight at a boutique hotel within the Fort.

Day 11

Galle & Coastal Nature

A morning of coastal exploration – eco-lagoon walks, mangrove trails, or simply the beach. An optional heritage village visit is followed by a sunset along the southern ramparts and a farewell dinner to mark the journey’s end.

Day 12

Departure

A leisurely beach morning before the scenic drive back to Colombo International Airport for departure.
